About the Group Shared Functions
The Group Shared Functions (GSF) support the growth of all our eCommerce companies. We are a team of over 100 people working in Legal, Finance, People & Culture, Buying and Technology focused on delivering expertise, support and value add to our regions in Latin America, Asia and the Pacific and CIS. Our shared function teams are based primarily in London, Berlin, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur.

 

What success looks like in this role

As a Group Head of Reward you will be reporting to and working closely with the Group Chief People & Culture Officer (CPO) to create and deliver a well designed group reward framework with a focus on executive roles across all GFG. You will support our regional compensation and benefits team members on topics related to all-employee reward.


Success in the first year will include the following key deliverables:
● Forming a strong working relationship with the shared function and regional leaders.
● Management of the Pre - IPO Equity Reward Programs with all current participants.
● End to end delivery of the new equity program including successful communications to participants.
● Design of a Group Reward Framework for our top leaders across all regions.
● Delivery of a reward framework for GFG Shared Functions that is equitable and aligned with our regional teams.

 

Key responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will include taking ownership of all aspects of reward, including (but not limited to) managing GFG’s Long-Term Incentive programmes, designing salary structures, job grading, executive compensation design and benchmarking and support with compensation related corporate governance.

You are an experienced technical expert in your field and are able to build robust processes with significant scale and enabled by technology. Paramount for this role is also your ability to ‘make the complex simple and the simple compelling’ in terms of Reward to a large-non-technical audience and support Talent Acquisition to attract talent through a sound rewards approach. You are a natural at leading conversations with the most important stakeholders in the business and working in a complex and fast paced environment.


Your partnership with the Group CPO and the Management Board is vital in building a culture where Reward is an enabler of our overall people and leadership strategy. You will relish in the opportunity to work with our Supervisory Board in seeking their counsel, providing expertise and collaborating on shaping the total reward strategy.

Your ability to foster a community of people in our regions who have can mobilise the reward strategies will be vital and a critical success outcome. Working with a small team of reward professionals you will be able to coach and develop to drive change and deliver excellence in execution.


This role is someone who can seamlessly move between the detail enjoys being part of the delivery as much as being in the boardroom and strategizing with the executives. You are naturally curious always seeking to learn best practices and leverage your global community of other reward experts.

 

What will it take to be successful

  • Exceptional Reward expertise learned and mastered in a listed environment ideally in a global position focused on regions such as Latin America, CIS or Asia Pacific.
  • Clear demonstrated track record in leading and managing equity compensation plans with experience leading board reporting and compliance.
  • Excellent English skills (written and verbal) with any further language capability welcomed.
  • Ability to influence, build strong relationships and work with a wide range of stakeholders of cultural diversity including the Group Co-CEOs, CFO, regional CEOs, CPOs, the Group Shared Function People & Culture team and external suppliers as required.
  • A growth mindset, willing to give and receive feedback with humility and willingness to challenge the status quo.
  • Ability to think strategically and synthesise complex information to build relevant solutions with tangible impact.
  • Data-driven and results focused. You will have prior experience with both quantitative and qualitative data — tracking, measuring and evaluating outcomes to demonstrate impact.
  • Incredible organisational/time management skills and attention to detail and be able to balance the big picture with getting the important things right.
  • High degree of judgement and ability to juggle a diverse range of priorities.
  • Most of all you value diverse thinking, know how to have fun, celebrate the big and small moments as part of a small and highly collaborative team.

Additional experience or willing to learn

  • An understanding of the regions we work in and their respective labour law, tax and general compensation and benefits legislation.
  • Prior experience in fashion, technology and/or logistics so that you can talk the talk internally, and build empathy across the business.
