ABOUT THE ROLE
In this role as a Strategy Director you will report directly into the London-based co-CEO of GFG and you will work closely with the broader executive team, in particular the Malaysia-based co-CEO and the London-based CFO. The Strategy function is wide-ranging at GFG and spans the support and execution of centralised and regional growth initiatives, organisational development, corporate finance and other special projects.
THE IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE
The role is largely project-based and some of the responsibilities you will have include:
Preparation of significant decisions by the Co-CEOs (e.g. commercial projects, major capex investments)
Analysis of complex operational problems in category management, fulfilment and other functions
Develop an investor relations strategy for a recently listed public company
Support of business development initiatives (e.g. strategic dialogue with brands)
Strategic projects including business reviews and M&As
Market intelligence, competitive monitoring and benchmarking
Preparation of Board materials, internal memos and communication on behalf of the Co-CEOs
WHAT WILL YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
To be successful in this role you will combine strong analytical skills, corporate finance know-how, an understanding of fashion ecommerce and the ability to effectively drive projects across geographies, time zones and cultures in a collaborative and efficient way. You will be a self-starter with the ability to navigate ambiguity, at times with minimal resourcing support.
