About the Function 

The GFG Marketplace software product, Seller Center, was launched in 2015 and it is now enabling large part of the GFG business and growth. Seller Center is a true Global Marketplace product, enabling Fashion Brands across all continents to show their assortment,  promote it and allow customers to seamlessly and safely purchase it. In the backstage it facilitates fulfillment, financial reconciliation and customer satisfaction. Data is at the core of all of this.


The Berlin Tech hub owns Seller Center, amongst other products (Search and Recommendations and Business Intelligence) utilised across the GFG regions.



In this role as a Senior Product Manager of Marketplace you are responsible for the Product Roadmap and Delivery of Seller Center features and incremental optimizations. You will be joining a very flat organisational structure, reporting directly to the Head of Product and work with two other Product Managers and around 20 senior engineers.

You will be handling Business stakeholders from all the GFG regions and devising the strategy for Seller Center to be successful triangulating between Customers, Sellers and Regional Businesses.

GFG Berlin follows the most up to date product development frameworks (Customer Driven Innovation, 4Ds, Prototyping and Data Driven decision making), and we challenge each other to learn every day.   • You have a background in Software Engineering, Data Science, Product Design or Economics and Product Management experience
  • The team needs you to be successful, all together, minimising ‘waste’ (bad features and unnecessary complexity), but also to decide how to innovate the platform.
  • You will bring them the voice of customers (sellers/brands), business (GFG regions) and Market expertise, to decide what’s worth focusing on.
  • You will make sure success is visible and celebrated by everybody, through hard facts (data) and customer/business feedback.
  • You will be your team’s lighthouse, by being excellent at what you do, but also knowledgeable about the details of your product, when deciding what solution to implement (from business requirements to service architecture).
  • You bring stories about past software product successes or failures, and learnings (causes and effects) to ensure the team gets incrementally better. Possibly your stories derive from several years of experience in product management.
